- In general, do most people have a desire to help improve their community?
As you explore this question, let’s first agree what we mean by a
community. For this course, we are using a broad definition
of community. It can range from a small group – for example, folks who
share an apartment – to a city. As you think about your response, please
reflect on the readings and the video posts for this week. As you can
see from the rubric, connecting the discussion posts to the material
associated with this course is very important.

Week 1 Essay
Write a five to seven paragraph
persuasive essay, approximately 2 to 3 pages, on why humans tend to want
to help others. Please consider the two articles and the theories they
discuss when writing your paper as well as the discussion board.
