- Pick a city, location, or business and create a 4×6 inch postcard for it. Use a minimum of 2 different images of the location. Make sure the type fits the concept of the card and plays a large part in your design.
- Try and use photos you took yourself rather than images acquired from the Internet. If you do acquire images from the Internet, be sure they are labeled for reuse with modification. If you steal copyrighted imagery, this will count as plagiarism and i will refund.
- You will be having an outside lab print a 4×6 print of your finished project.
- You will be graded according to the rubric below.
- Come up with a concept for your card. Think of the place and what feeling it has.
- Find at least 2 images that work with this concept of your card (use your own pictures if you can).
- Create a new file that is 4×6 inches at 300 ppi.
- Incorporate your images as well as shapes and type to create a postcard you would want to buy.
- Make sure the type is easy to read.
- Use type warp, type mask, layer effects, and shapes as needed to strengthen your design. Remember, more is not often better.
- Name all your layers descriptively.
- Save as a psd file.
make sure it’s nice and beautiful and make sure you use “labeled for reuse with modification”!!!!!!
