My computer won’t wake up after I shut the lid/went into sleep mode?
Not only does it not wake up after opening the lid then hitting keys on the keyboard or moving/clicking the keypad, but when I shut it down the power button remains on but I can hear the fans turn off. I then have to hold down the power key until it turns black, it doesn’t mess up my computer or anything, just turns it off all the way.
Anyways, I don’t know what wrong. I’ve tried everything…
Keyboard>Hardware Tab>Properties>Change Settings>there is no “power management” tab, so I can’t check my keyboard to be correct.
The only solution I’ve come up with is setting the settings to be once I close the lid my computer does nothing but the screen turns black and when I lift it back up it resumes, but that is not sleep mode, it’s set to “do nothing”. That wastes a ton of battery in my computer so I have to shut it off every time I get off my computer which is really annoying and time consuming.
I really need some help! My computer is a Dell Inspiron 15R.
