I’m working on a Statistics question and need guidance to help me study.
Review the following list of familiar statistics:
- You only use 10% of your brain
- 4 out 5 dentists recommend …
- Airplanes are the safest way to travel
- Those who play video games are more violent
- Workers with a bachelor’s degree earn more
Select a statistic from the list or any other well-known statistic you have recently encountered. Imagine you have the opportunity to interview the researcher who created your selected statistic and respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:
- What questions would you want to ask the researcher about the statistic? What aspects of the statistic are you uncomfortable with?
- What assumptions were made? What questions would you ask about the assumptions that were made when generating the statistic?
