The purpose of this narrated power point (PPT) presentation is to improve your knowledge of practice by applying an established middle-range (mid-range) nursing theory to a practice issue or problem. For this assignment select a practice issue or problem that you anticipate within your future advanced nursing role and that could be used in preparation for your future MSN capstone project (completed near the end of your MSN program experience). Next choose an established middle-range nursing theory that can be applied to your practice issue/problem to improve it. Using a practice issue or problem with applied middle-range nursing theory initiated in MSN 600 and built upon throughout upcoming courses can enhance work with your MSN capstone project. The APA (2020), 7th edition format must be used for this narrated power point presentation.
You will need to create an 8-10 slide (excluding title and reference slide) narrated power point explaining your findings. The 8 to 10 slides are content. Additionally, a title slide and a reference slide are required.  As with any formal presentation or paper, please include an introduction and conclusion. Include visual work(s) (photograph, clip art, chart…) on a minimum of five slides. In addition to the information on each slide, every visual work(s) on each slide must have a citation and reference. The Application of Selected Theory to Practice PowerPoint is to follow principles of APA (2020) manual for title slide (i.e. title slide is like title page for modified [no author note or abstract needed] professional format paper), presentation of information, citations, and references (i.e. reference slide is like reference page for professional format paper).
To support information and visual work(s) shared on each slide, include citations for information and visual work(s) on each slide and a reference for each citation on reference page at the end of the power point presentation. Clip art from Microsoft Word or PowerPoint does not need a citation.  Please review information from APA (2020) website link org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples/clip-art-references”>https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/… (Links to an external site.) for citation and reference of visuals obtained from most clip art and/or stock images. Citations and references are based on current (within the last 3 to 5 years) professional sources. Include required textbook and other current (within the last 3 to 5 years) professional sources (e.g. required textbooks, additional current text-books, peer-reviewed journal articles from peer-reviewed journals…). Please review discussion board section of this MSN 600 syllabus for what constitutes professional sources.  Include required textbook and current (within the last 3 to 5 years) professional sources. The original (primary) source of the middle-range nursing theory may be older than 3-5 years.
Please be creative and original (creativity/originality aspect) with the set-up of your power point ensuring all required elements of the assignment are included. Also ensure your power point presentation is organized, logical, clear, thorough (use voice over and note section to expand on slide content) and easy to read. This presentation should be done in Microsoft PowerPoint and should include a voice-over narration. The narrated power point should be no more than 10 minutes in length.
The power point presentation must include voice-over narration for each slide as the narrated power point presentation reflects an oral presentation. If voice-over narration is not included, the power point presentation assignment may not be accepted and zero points may be earned.
The power point presentation must reflect an established middle-range nursing theory or the power point presentation may not be accepted and zero points may be earned.
