MSITM University of Cumberlands Data visualization Discussion

In the reading this course week, Kirk (2019) notes the importance of formulating your brief, in other words, making a plan.

  • Describe a plan for visualizing data. Be specific. Use a real-life example.
  • What threats exist? In other words, how might you inadvertantly misrepresent the information?
  • How do you know if you’ve created the right visualization? What drives the process?

Kirk, A. (2019) Data visualisation: A handbook of data driven design (2nd ed.). Sage.

  • Three posts are required on three separate days: the initial post and two peer responses.Copying, paraphrasing, or quoting the textbook, the internet, or any other external source should be done sparingly. Don’t regurgitate what other people think. Think for yourself. When you use ideas from others, ensure that you cite and reference the external sources per the standards of APA 7.
