I’m working on a public health discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
In any evaluation process, it is necessary to focus the evaluation design to assess the issues of greatest concern to stakeholders while using time and resources as efficiently as possible.
PART I
- Select one of the following public health issues:
- Playground safety
- Gun safety
- Alcohol abuse
- Homelessness
- Vaccination acceptance
- Summarize the effect this public health issue has on your community, city, state, and the nation as a Ensure that you use current and relevant research to support your summary to address each area above.
- Research and select a governmental, quasi-governmental, or private health program in your community that addresses the public health issue you chose.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of how the program works to address that public health
PART II
- To make certain you are on the correct path, include a link or attach a PDF to your chosen organization’s Annual Report.
- At a minimum, your chosen organization needs to provide you with an organizational hierarchy of leadership, a financial breakdown of income and expenditures, and a list of key stakeholders (internal and external). The latter may not be listed as clearly but closing pages of Annual Reports often display the logos of key supporting organizations or the externals can be easily connected (Ex: [evaluating] homeless shelter -> [external stakeholder] local food bank)
