After reading the plays, submit a design concept for the play of your choosing. To be clear, only pick one play for the assignment (the other play will be used for a future directing assignment). 

Your task: design either the set or the costumes for your chosen play. And then describe your design.

Your assignment must include all of the following:

1. A colored picture using at least 3 different colors for your set or costume design. Blue/Black ink pens and regular lead pencils do not count as a color. Colored pencils are acceptable. It can be created using any computer software (Photoshop, etc.) if you choose to go that route.
2. The rendering must be on either colored construction paper or plain typing paper. The rendering cannot be on the back of a formerly used piece of paper.
3. A 300-400 word description (Typed, 12 font, Times, double spaced) of your design and how you would instill this concept into designing the piece. Touch upon the following:
   1. What drew you to this play?
   2. What drew you to design the set or costume?
   3. Your interpretation of the theme and how it resonates with you personally and how you see it in the set or the costumes.
   4. How your rendering encapsulates all of the above.
