1. Go to the website “Hofstede Insights” at the weblink https://www.hofstede-insights.com/.Scroll down the Home page until you get to a tool called “Country Comparison Tool.” This tool allows you to select multiple countries and compare their scores across six dimensions of culture (see example below). An explanation of these six cultural dimensions and can be foundhttps://geerthofstede.com/culture-geert-hofstede-g…The result of comparison tool should be like the file below.
2. Select YOUR COUNTRY and two additional countries that are on different continents. If YOUR COUNTRY is not present in the “Country Comparison Tool,” chose a neighboring one as its culture is likely to have many similarities. Include an image of the three-country comparison in your post. Note: Countries that differ in their cultural dimensions will be easier to work with in Part 3. (YOUR COUNTRY should be Malta)
3. Write a fictitious and exaggerated short story (1-page max) to illustrate the impact of two of these cultural dimensions. Your scenario should have three people. These three people should come from the countries you selected for your three-country comparison above. Each of these people should be typical of their home culture. Your story should begin with “Once upon a time.” First, introduce the three people (i.e., name and country at the least), where they are, why they are there, and what they are doing. Next, describe a situation the three people encounter which requires them to make a decision. Be creative – it’s your story. Your story should illustrate how two dimensions of culture influence these people’s thinking about the situation AND why it may be difficult for them to understand each other’s thinking.
4. Specifically explain the cultural dimensions you are trying to illustrate in your short story and how they influence the decision-making process.
