When I did the Focus 2 self-assessment it helped me to confirm my career selection. This assessment is very beneficial, as it is a first step in the career of every student. With this assessment, I managed to identify according to my personality and with which career I identify myself if I am involved according to my abilities and my interests. I also did the Career exploration and thus learned about the different types of occupations and careers. The career I identify with is Occupational Therapist Assistant. Knowing all this information I will be able to fulfill the requirements that I must complete before graduating. Occupational therapist Assistants work directly with the patient under the supervision of the occupational therapist with the objective to correct or diminish pathologies. The therapist implements and plans treatment. Once graduated can work in a hospital, nursing homes, and schools.
In addition, I was able to identify that I have the capacity to accept differences and that I would be able to volunteer to help people in case they need it.I would always be comfortable with people with cultural, religious, and educational differences. In the skill Assessment, I identify that I am always looking for infinity’s ways to help people, I take time to understand what the other people have to say, and I love to teach new things. I stay informed about the tasks of an Occupational Therapist, and I always communicate with people who are currently working in that area. I continue to love this job because I love to help people whit disabilities and I will always be faithful in a way to help them in their daily life
