A job at Ikea would be very appealing to me and the reason behind that is because Ikea is a very well-known furniture company. Ikea has long been praised as a great place to work in the retail industry. It was named one of the greatest places to work in 2013 and 2017 by Glassdoor.
As for the important positives associated with the position, Ikea offers a friendly working environment as well as friendly co-workers that make working in Ikea enjoyable. Ikea provides for all their employees’ health insurance as well as a maternity or parental leave. Also, employees are offered a 15% discount on all of the products and furniture.
As for the important negatives associated with the position, employees break time is very short. Also, they give tasks to employees without providing the proper work training needed. Plus, their work schedule is not flexible.
I have worked in parallel teams where I had to solve problems resolve conflicts, and deal with challenging situations. The teams were consistent with the team types discussed in the chapter.
