This is the template for the assignment on Metabolic Pathways that I have been talking about in class.
The column headings are clear, specifying what you need to fill in. For notes, you may write down something that you may find interesting about the enzymes. A few examples have been provided (e.g. I find interesting to see what happens when a human is deficient in pyruvate dehydrogenase; I also find it fascinating that the photosynthetic enzyme Rubisco is not as efficient as most enzymes),
You will have two weeks to finalize this homework, but the sooner the better because you can use it in class. You must submit it by midnight, Nov 23. No extensions. The value will be 5% towards the final grade.
You cannot understand metabolic pathways, for example, without having learned enzyme kinetics; and you cannot learn enzyme kinetics if you do not know the properties of amino acids. So everything is a continuum.
