The principal regression analysis indicates that there is a significant relationship between the level of democracy today and view on the handling of the economy index, t (34494) = 68.914, p<0.05 (Wagner, 2016). The regression model has a prediction power of 34.8% with significant goodness of fit, F (1, 34491) = 4749.119, p<0.05. A unit change in the view on the handling of the economy index causes a proportional 0.294 change on the view about the level of democracy today (Wagner, 2016).
Results indicate that trust in government partially mediates towards the people’s view on the effect of the economy index and how it influences the economy, F (2, 34492) = 4481.186, p<0.05. The coefficient of determination shows that model prediction power increased from
