Measurement for Program Evaluation and Performance Monitoring

You will evaluate a case study and examine if the program’s logic model “works” as intended. THE MCCLAWLEY LOGIC MODEL ATTACHMENT IS WHAT YOU WILL USE HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING WHAT A LOGIC MODEL IS AND WILL HELP YOU ANALYZE THE CASE STUDY, LIKE A BLUEPRINT. READ THIS FIRST. THE SECOND FILE IS THE CASE STUDY YOU WILL BE ANALYZING. Answer the following questions in heavy detail, thank you(:

Steps to guide your case analysis:

  1. Describe the elements of the case study research and identify any major strengths or weaknesses
  2. Provide the context for the case
  3. Propose two or three relevant issues
  4. Describe the program logic model used
  5. How is data being collected and from whom – discuss Methods used
  6. What steps are used to establish the validity and reliability of the case study data
  7. Describe the main features of the evaluation design – applying what we have learned as it relates to the complexity of the problem, importance of the program, the stakeholders, and the evaluation process.

In completing this assignment, please remember to consider potential threats to internal and external validity in your case analysis. Remember to integrate and apply the knowledge gained in Modules 1–4 of the course. To examine effectiveness, remember to question (did the policy or program cause the observed outcomes?

For this assignment, there is no wrong answer – I am more interested in the approach you will use to evaluate the case. No generalizations should be made from or about the case study. Case studies are an important tool in program evaluation to investigate essential aspects that require detailed explanations about the dynamics of a program.(:
