ME 220 Materials Lab Lab 2-Experimental Stress Analysis of Bridge Truss To analyze a simple pin-jointed frame using cquilibrium equations, and to check validity of analysis by experimental mcasurements with strain gages. 

Experimental Apparatus Aluminum bridge truss, isirain gauges, Model 3800 Wide Range Strain Indicator Experimental Procedure L. Turn on the Model 3800 Wide Range Strain Indicator. 2. Allach strain gauge wires from member 2 to the strain indicator, 3, Zero out the scale of the strain indicator, 4. Apply one red plate on cach of the two hangers suspended from the truss. 5. Record data for strain valuc in ue. 6. Repeat steps 2-5 for other specified members 6, 7, 8, 10. 7. Repeat steps 2-6, but add one more red plate on cach hanger, 8. Repeat steps 2-5 ten times for member 10 for uncertainty analysis, Report Requirem ents 1. Prosent all exporimental apparatus used for measurement in Figure 1 (one photo). Briefly describe cach experimental apparatus in the figure caption. Mark out the nodos and specified members 2, 6, 7, 8, 10 in the figuru as well. 2 Compute the xial forces in members 2, 6, 7, 8, 10 under two different loading conditions using method of joints. State if the mombers ard in tension (T) or comprossion (C). Report the computed rosults in Table 1. Report calculation details in the appondix.
