This week we are going to role-play and “step into the shoes” of another. Please spend
1/2 hour with your eyes close at the beginning of your day during the week. (NO
DRIVING) Role-playing offer students the opportunity to see different perspectives about
discrimination and prejudice.

Answer the following questions:

  1. How did you feel? Were you scared?
  2. How long did it take to do your daily activities?
  3. Could you do your hair? Take a shower? Walk the dog?
  4. How did you feel when you were done?
  5. Are you more compassionate towards the disabled?

Find a prejudice that you have about a group of people or individual. Interview someone that fits in that group. Answer the following questions:

  1. What did you learn?
  2. Are you still as prejudice towards that group?
  3. Do you have a better understanding of that person?
