Incorporating Benchmarking into our Operations

We studied the various tools and concepts that should be incorporated into your benchmarking initiatives. Choose a benchmarking tool that resonates well with you (Best Practices, Peer Benchmarking, SWOT Analysis, Collaborative Benchmarking and etc…).

Our readings and videos this week looked at the tools/concepts mentioned above. Upon your review of these materials or your own outside research (Please incorporate references), please address the questions below:

Q1- Is there a process in your organization or a business you are familiar with that could benefit from benchmarking?

Q2- Are there challenges that may become present when trying to conduct benchmarking? What recommendations do you have to overcome these obstacles?

Q3- Lastly, choose one of the previously mentioned benchmarking tools and demonstrate how it can be used to ensure success?

Part B:

Case Study: Fast Cycle Benchmarking

After reviewing the “Fast Cycle Benchmarking” case study reading please address the following deliverables in 4 pages, not including the cover and reference pages.

Organizations like Ritz-Carlton have been noticed for their fame in superior customer service skills. Please describe.

Q1- why organizations must be adaptive when benchmarking and shy away from specifically copying other’s processes?

Q2- How should organizations choose which company to Benchmark? Can using a company that is over advanced in their processes hurt your organization’s benchmarking initiative? Why or why not?

Q3- If you were to incorporate benchmarking into your organization, which companies and or industries come to mind (This can also include intercompany divisions/business units)?

The conclusion must be added and also add graphics to reinforce the contents. Minimum 5 references.
