Students will prepare a Marketing Plan for a product of their choosing. I think you will enjoy this assignment. Choose a topic you will enjoy and then follow the format below. Do some research online to understand the market, competitors, and other products on the market. Estimate what your sales might be. Try to format your paper with a corporate vibe with images, charts, graphics, tables etc. to make your paper visually appealing.
Example Topics:
Apple – Write the market report as though you are an employee at Apple developing augmented reality glasses to be released to market. Who are your competitors? Who is your target market? What cultural and environmental aspects should you take into consideration?
Tesla – Write as if you are an employ at Tesla considering to release an electric motorcycle or electric airplane into the market.
Video Game – Write the Marketing Plan from as if you the lead marketing manager at Nintendo, Namco, Epic, Niantic, etc. releasing a new video game to market. How is your game differentiated? What are your customers expecting? How will you promote the product to market?
Sophora – Imagine you are the new Marketing director at Sophora or other major player in the cosmetics market. What new product will you release? who is your target customers? Will you launch your product world wide? What retail stores will you partner with?
Other options: Ski equipment company, Mountain Bike manufacturer, Cloud provider, IT service provider, Insurance company, Accounting services company, Online Dating website, restaurant, milk tea shop, Laundry detergent brand, etc.
