Part 1–Make a List of Tasks for Writing your Final Project
undefined
Make a list of all the tasks and the deliverables that need to be completed before you can submit the final project. There are 8 parts that need to be included in the Final Project, but keep in mind that there are unwritten tasks (e.g., research, meetings etc.) and not all parts require the same amount of work. Your list of tasks could include:
undefined
•Research existing solutions, create a short benchmark table
undefined
•Write the engineering requirements
undefined
•Create concepts and select one
undefined
•Research Engineering Standards
undefined
•Create a WBS for building the prototype (not this one)
undefined
•Create a Gant chart
undefined
•Final review before submission etc. etc.
undefined
These are just examples. Your list might be different. For each task make sure to have a deliverable and a person (or more) who is responsible. Duration estimates would be very helpful too. Adding meetings to your list of tasks is highly recommended as well. Also critical is the final review.

Part 2–Create a Work Break Down Structure for Writing your Final Project You do not need to use any fancy tools or tables. You do not even need to type your WBS. Using pen(cil) on paper and taking a photo to submit is perfectly fine. The goal of this assignment is to make sure to get you starting with your project. Once you know the tasks, the responsible parties, and an estimate of how long it will take, you will have a good start with your project management. You can use this WBS to track your progress. Or, if you want to go one step further, you can create a Gantt chart as well.
