GRADING CRITERIA:
All the requirements of project were completed, including:
Magazine concept was interesting and cohesive. The contents of the magazine should all make sense within its context. Thought was given to the subject of the magazine itself, and went beyond a generic magazine. Magazine content should make sense as 1 issue with real articles and images. There should be no placeholder text in any of your spreds.
The magazine should include:
- A front and Back cover design
- A table of contents
- A photo spread
- A maximum of 2 ads that you have either created, or revised
- Minimum of 3 separate sections of different types of content
5 pts Cover design – Cover photo was manipulated in some way, and included a use of Photoshop techniques learned in the class. Cover should look like a real magazine cover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNxvKjd7YvE
20 pts Magazine Contents (each worth 5) points – Table of contents, Photo Spread, 3 distinct sections.
10 pts 2 Ads- Ads in magazine were created, not merely copied and pasted, and placed.
15 pts Typography, Grid and Layout- A grid was successfully created which contains the following elements: Columns, margins, folio, master pages, Headline choices, body text (that is 9pt!!!). Character Styles, Paragraph styles and Master pages were created.
15 pts (maybe) Interactive version- The interactive version of the magazine included the following:

- Page transitions and Navigation (next page button, previous page button, table of contents)
- Table of contents that directs you to the correct article
- Minimum of 5 animations throughout the spreads
- 2 videos (with controllers)
- Exported the file correctly as a .SWF file with an HTML file
20 pts Overall seamless, designs and compositions. The project should not look like a sketch, or like an unfinished product. Each of the spreads tied in together visually, and demonstrated thoughtful design decisions.
10 pts Finally, craftsmanship of project presentation itself is impeccable. The magazine was printed correctly, files were exported correctly, and project was turned in correctly according to specifications.
5 pts Presentation of project. The oral presentation had a logical sequence, explained the problem and solutions adequately. Delivery of presentation was lively, energetic and engaging. So bring your A game!
