By Wednesday, share an interesting Ponzi scheme you found online. Please post a case other than Charles Ponzi or a case already posted by a classmate. At the beginning of your post, please post the perpetrator name and a link to the article. Then describe the facts of the case and share your thoughts and opinions.
By Sunday, reply to a classmate. Cite your classmate’s name in the reply Read the summary posted by your classmate and the article they provided. Then share your thoughts about the following:
- What were the unique aspects of this Ponzi scheme that make it different from other Ponzi schemes?
- Was it inevitable that this scheme would collapse? Why or why not?
- What were the warning signs the victims might have seen to avoid getting involved?
- Do you think the punishment was fair? Explain.
