Requirements for your reaction paper:
I. The first half should be a concise summary of the article/economic news. It should answer the following questions:
1. What is the primary question/issue/hypothesis that the author wanted to address? 2. Why is the question interesting or important?
3. What are the author’s findings or conclusions?
II. The second half should be a critique of the article/news. It may consider one or two of the following questions:
1. Are you convinced by the author’s results/arguments? Why or why not? 2. Do you believe they found a causal relationship? Why or why not?
3. Did the results obtained justify the interpretation and conclusions?
4. Do you think the results could be biased in some way? Explain.
You will be asked to write 1 reaction paper to the economic articles posted on Blackboard. The paper is to be typed and no more than 3 pages double- spaced. Please choose one of the following topics to write your reaction paper:
