Contingency/Emergency Action Plans are developed by Emergency Managers with the focus directed on covering all perceived or actual vulnerabilities that could that could be destroyed or damaged during a natural or manmade disaster. The community must be restored as quickly as possible in the aftermath of a disaster. Due diligence by Emergency Managers executing well-constructed contingency will make this happen. However, sometimes issues may surface that may have been overlooked by planners in designing these contingency plans.
Complete your contingency plan draft. This contingency plan will be a comprehensive plan focused on a specific threat or vulnerability you uncovered that may impact the safety or vital services within your community during a natural or man-made disaster. By Module 7, you will be required to submit the final plan to the Instructor. Your Instructor will provide appropriate feedback on your draft.
