Carefully read each of the three sources (one each per religion). Then, based on these articles (NOT on what you may know already), answer the following questions. Quote from the documents where appropriate. Write about 500 words total (250 per question).
PICK any TWO of the faiths (and say which ones). Then:
1. Point out TWO ways in which they seem similar or connected, and explain.
2. Point out TWO ways in which the seem different or unconnected, and explain.

we’ll be looking at religious faiths and belief systems. We start this week with “monotheistic” faiths. Monotheism is the belief that there is one God. Some other religious traditions are described as “polytheistic” – meaning multiple deities. We’ll look at some of these in a later module. The three largest and most influential monotheisms are, in order of when they appeared, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Of course, faiths/religions typically subdivide into different denominations, movements, or branches. Thus, for instance, Christians may be Catholic, or Greek Orthodox, or Protestant, and so on, with each of these being further subdivisible (For example, Baptists, Methodists, and Anglicans are all Protestant Christian denominations, for example). In this module we are more interested in the overall unifying features of the three monotheistic faiths, and in comparing them with each other.
