FINAL PAPER INFANT/TODDLER DEVELOPMENT

You will observe the developmental skills of young children by watching each of the 5 videos posted below.
Then, answer the questions posted below. You will submit your paper as PDF via CANVAS assignment.
‘Paper should be 3-4 pages long, double-spaced. Please USE Double space paper, font 12, Arial or Time new Romans AND save document on PDF. (Three and a half to 4 pages, no cover page is needed. Make sure to type your name and last name on each page)

answer the 9 questions below based on examples observed from the
5 videos listed above.
Questions to answer
- Social skills: How did the children communicate with other children or adults? ( non verbal , verbal) Provide one example per video,, a total of 5 examples. Be specific when you share the example. Describe the social skills that you observed and the video number.
- Gross Motor Skills: ( fine and gross motor skills (Links to an external site.)) Provide one example per video of one child using gross and fine motor skills, 5 total for all video. Be specific when you share the example.
- Language skills: 3.1 Expressive language (Links to an external site.) : How did the child communicate his/her needs and wants? (pointing, gestures, words?) Be specific describing what the child was doing and or saying. one example per video. 3.2 Receptive language (Links to an external site.): How much the child was able to understand? Was the child able to answer yes, no, nod his head, understand adults? Provide 5 observed examples that support your observation . One example per video.
- Self-help skills: (Links to an external site.) What type of self-help skills did you observe? (Eg child was able to put or take off some clothes, able to hold the spoon, cup, finger feed, washing hands, toileting, etc) Provide 2 observed examples from any combination of the 5 videos.
- Piaget’s sensorimotor stage:. Provide 2 observed examples from any combination of the 5 videos. Be specific.
- Erikson’s trust vs mistrust stage or autonomy vs shame and doubt. Provide 2 observed examples from any combination of the 5 videos. Be specific.
- Freud’s oral and/or anal stage: Provide 2 observed examples from any combination of the 5 videos. Be specific
- Cognitive skills: What did you see the children learning as they played? provide 5 specific examples, one per video.
- Did you type all the questions, using question answer format? 🙂 Did you provide very specific, descriptive and clear examples , including the video number?
