project, students will analyze a local community, identify issues in
that community, and practice methods learned in class to advocate for
social justice.
I expect that your discussions throughout this project reflect the reading and theories that you have learned in the course

PART ONE
Identify an advocacy challenge or opportunity – choose one of the following issues to address:

- Race Bias in the ECE classroom
- Racial Hate Crimes – How do we address this with children
- Inequity (Race and SES) – How to
address this in the ECE classroom (think books, space, what do you want
the classroom to look like, music, etc.) - Children at the US border separated
from their families. How do we address the issue in the ECE classroom
and with parents. Please think of all involved - School to Prison Pipeline. How do we address this in the ECE classroom and in the community?
