The problem: the Teach for All board is starting to hear rumblings of a rift forming with parents of children involved in the Teach for All network. In a recent survey, 65% of parents agreed with the statement, “I don’t receive adequate information from Teach for All” and only 32% agreed with the statement, “I see a clear benefit for my children to be taught by Teach for All teachers”. Possibly as a result, several network schools have reported having trouble bringing parents in to support classes or to teach the children out of class. Teach for All understands that parents play an important role in their children’s education and also in promoting and legitimizing Teach for All’s work. The board has asked you to put together a report on Teach for All’s relationship with parents in network countries to diagnose what might be contributing to this low engagement.
