There is not one correct theory of motivation. They all contain good ideas and support for reasons that people are motivated. No one item or thing motivates all of us the same. We all have different intrinsic and extrinsic motivators.
Initial Post: Choose one theory of motivation (discussed in this module) that you relate to the most. In one to two paragraphs, address the following:
- Explain the theory.
- Explain why you align most with this theory.
- Relate the theory to yourself or a situation you have been in that helps justify why the theory speaks to you.
- Include one intrinsic and one extrinsic motivator that motivates you each day in your job/career or education and explain why they motivate you.
Reply Posts: Choose one of the following for your reply to a classmate.
- Respond to a classmate elaborating on their theory choice.
- Respond to a classmate explaining why you would pick a different motivational theory.
- Respond to a classmate explaining how you relate to their intrinsic and extrinsic motivators.
