The purpose of this assignment, is to allow you to examine, analyze and share your perceptions of the experiences of people with disabilities, their portrayal in the public media, and some of the services provided to them. Each week’s fieldwork relates to the current or a recent topic discussed in class.

MLO #4.4: Discuss and analyze the complex interactions between disability, gender, race/ethnicity, socio-economic status and sexual orientation in shaping the identity of individuals with disabilities.

- Course Objective 4: Explore the impact people with disabilities’ membership in multiple cultural groups, along with their individual and collective contribution to identity.
