Applying Anti?Bias Education Goals to Learning About Cultural Diversity

1. Children will demonstrate awareness
2. of, curiosity about, and enjoyment in how people are culturally different and the same. (Goal 2)

• Children will interact respectfully, comfortably, and caringly with children and adults who are culturally different from (Goal 2)
• Children will learn to identify and interrupt disrespectful, hurtful behaviors targeting their own or others’ cultural identity, language, and behaviors. (Goals 3 & 4)
• When answering the questions consider the Four Anti-bias goals 1, identity, 2 Diversity, 3, Justice, 4 Activism along with the first page 88-105  example: diversity exists within an all White family, Latinex family, Asian family… not all ______ have the same customs when it comes to holidays, religion, foods, music .
