I’m working on a psychology discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
1. Discuss the meaning behind the concept of confirmation bias. Then discuss at least 2 examples of confirmation bias which you have observed. Examples could have been seen over social media, within the country’s current political division, in the news, related to how different groups responded to Covid-19 or other world events, etc.
2. Discuss a problem you had to solve recently. Then discuss which problem solving strategy you used to resolve the issue and why you chose it. (Options include insight, trial and error, algorithm, heuristics, mental set, etc). Explain whether you would use the same problem solving strategy in the future if you were to encounter this issue again. Why if so, and why not if not?
3. Explain the difference between formal concept and natural concept, and provide an example of each.
