INT 359 Final Project Overview

Final Project Assignment:

Select and study one crop circle from literatures such as books, internet search etc.. Present your mathematical or geometric analysis on your crop circle. Giving your own interpretation with mathematical and scientific reasons with profound analysis of the encoded message would give you decent points. There are four parts. There will be total 100 points. A possible extra 10 points can be added for going above and beyond what is asked for and/or really outstanding work that impresses me. The extra 10 points is purely at my discretion.

1.Introduction

2.Techniques used of your analysis

3.Mathematical or Scientific reasons

4.Interpretation of the hidden message based on the reasons

Part 1 – Introduction

Requirements

1)Provide a welcome/introduction to the final project. Provide the reason why you chose the topic for your project.

2)Location and time of the crop circle found.

3)You must display your first and last name and display “INT 359 Final Project”.

Part 2 – Techniques or any analysis methods

Requirements

1)The GeoGebra is a good source of technique. Utilizing binary number system or statistical reasoning is another source. Throughout the semester, we will be dealing with variety topics, and those are the skills or techniques you can use for part 2. One or more methods can be used.

2)It is important to use right technique to come up with your interpretation.

3)Provide the reason(s) why you chose the method(s) you chose.

Part 3 – Mathematical or Scientific reasons

Requirements

1)Based on the method(s) you used, you should come up with your own interpretation for the hidden message.

2)If possible, use equations or graphs, or any math concepts we learned in the class in order to give better reasoning. Using any math and science concepts you learned from your other courses or your own research such as reading books or articles is encouraged.

Part 4 – Interpretation of the hidden message based on Part 3,

Requirements

1)Your interpretation must be well written and organized based on your analysis to represent the idea of your previous analysis.
