Using Excel, prepare a horizontal and a vertical analysis of the balance sheet for Amazon for the year ended December 31, 2018. I have provided a link below if needed. Be sure to use the correct Form 10-K for your analysis (Filing date 2019-02-01 for year end 12/31/2018). You can download the financials (balance sheet) using the “Interactive” or XBRL data file from Edgar. Along with your Horizontal and Vertical Balance Sheets, identify at least three issues from each tool that you think are worthy of future discussion based on the trends you see in your tools. Please format your Excel sheets in a way that is professional and presentable to your audience. (Fully labeled columns, titles, formatting, shading, complete, consistent, etc.)
You should only upload one excel file with separate tabs labeled for the horizontal and vertical balance sheet. Your excel file must be original. This is a very basic assignment but it is a great beginning to understanding the analysis. Make every effort to make this professional.
