. Bella and Sabine become estranged over their prolonged argument into whether or not social aphids should be considered eusocial. Bella believes that they are not because they do not display all three traits that she deems necessary for them to be termed eusocial, while Sabine believes that this is just semantics.
(a) What three traits are these? In the case of social aphids, which of these traits do they have and which do they (usually) lack (simply insert a “yes” or “no” in the last column)?

(b) To add fuel to the fire, Siena S. prods them both with what they think about encyrtid wasps and their use of polyembryony as a competitive tool. Polyembryony results in two forms in these wasps: normal larvae that will grow into adults, and precocious larvae that grow rapidly and become non-mating soldiers that patrol the host and kill any other parasitoids they come into contact with except siblings. After contemplating why Siena S. would poke the bear, please discuss how these wasps are similar (as it relates to sociality) to the aphids above.
