Directions: In a five paragraph essay of at least 500 words, critique ONE of the short stories we read in class for its artistic merit. Why is it a work of art? What techniques does the author use in the story? How much depth (layers) do you see? Is it universal? Be sure to explain your point of view clearly and succinctly. Remember, is it a solid “work of art (week one!)? Remember, this is a college-level assignment on the level of a one-hour in-class writing assignment or essay test answer, so check your grammar, paragraphing, and spelling carefully before submitting your work.
Be sure to save and submit your file as a PDF file. Turnitin will not work if you forget and leave it in a template form (.dotx) and has recently had trouble with newer MS Word formats.
All work MUST be in Times New Roman Font, size 12, or Ariel 12, and be sure to double space your work. Work not in 12 point font or not double spaced will NOT be accepted.
