Project Part 1 Task 1: Risk Management Plan (2 pages)
For the first part of the assigned project, you must create an initial draft of the final risk management plan. To do so, you must:
- Develop and provide an introduction to the plan by explaining its purpose and importance.
- Create an outline for the completed risk management plan.
- Define the scope and boundaries of the plan.
- Research and summarize compliance laws and regulations that pertain to the organization.
- Identify the key roles and responsibilities of individuals and departments within the organization as they pertain to risk management.
- Develop a proposed schedule for the risk management planning process.
- Create a professional report detailing the information above as an initial draft of the risk management plan.
Write an initial draft of the risk management plan as detailed in the instructions above. Your plan should be made using a standard word processor format compatible with Microsoft Word.
Evaluation Criteria and Rubrics
- Did the student demonstrate an understanding of the competencies covered in the course thus far?
- Did the student include all important components of a risk management plan in the outline?
- Did the student demonstrate good research, reasoning, and decision-making skills in identifying key components and compliance laws and regulations?
- Did the student create a professional, well-developed draft with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation?
PART 2: Executive Summary of Business 3 pages
Write a brief summary of your business in accordance with the rubric below. Focus on professionalism and brevity. There is no page requirement, but do not go over or under the length specifications in the rubric.

Hello Class,
Three very important pieces of news for you!
1) To help you get started, I created a layout for you (attached below – after the rubric). It has exactly the sections you need already laid out, complete with Title Page, Table of Contents, Headers and Footers and all that. All you need to do is add your content.
Just remember to remove the instructions! (in blue text)
If you have already started down another path, no worries, the attached model will still be helpful.
Please work on section 1 Introduction, and Part 2: Risk Assessment for this week’s assignment.
Judging from the template it looks like your final product will be around 9 or 10 pages.
2) I am also dropping the Power Point requirement for your final project, so that you can focus on your paper!
3) In response to several requests, you now have the option to submit a group project -groups should be two, but three is the max. If you go that route it will need to be a page or two longer, and you will all get the same grade.
I personally still recommend doing it individually, but it is completely up to you.

For this assignment, turn in your final Risk Management Plan in Blackboard, and in the Discussion Board – then review at least one of your classmates Risk Management Plans and leave a nice comment for them!
