It has long been observed that stress can lead to impaired health. Within the field of stress management, several theoretical models have been proposed to help explain the link between stress and disease. Examples of such models include the following:

• Borysenko Model
• Pert Model
• Lipton Model
• Gerber Model
• Pelletier Premodel

Choose 1 of theoretical models of stress and disease listed above to be the focus of your paper.

Be sure to include the following in your paper:

• Provide a description and explanation of your chosen theoretical model.
• Provide 2–3 research findings that support the chosen theory.
  • Describe each research finding.
  • Explain how the finding supports the theory.

Include at least 2 peer-reviewed journal articles in your paper. The International Journal of Stress Management and Health Psychology are two good examples of peer-reviewed journals. Use in-text citations and a reference list according to APA style guidelines.
