My psychology group and I had to design a fake study and write a professional paper on it with an abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, and references section. So far, we have created a general outline for the report which i will attach below. Our study is on the effects of sleep on undergraduate college students and their academic performance. For this assignment i will need help with writing up a results section. Write a full page times new roman size 12.
Your results section must have the following components:
– Brief reminder of your hypothesized result — remind the reader what we should expect to see.
– Tell us about the variables that were measured, providing appropriate descriptive statistics. If you collected measurements for a variable in different conditions or groups, be sure to provide the descriptive statistics for each condition/group.
– Refer to a figure (scatterplot or bar chart) that shows the effect that tests your hypothesis. Include an appropriate figure title and note.
– Report the outcome of the inferential test (correlation or t-test) that tests your hypothesis.
– Report any other hypothetical results that you want to include in a separate paragraph. You won’t have statistics for these, but if you have questions that go beyond a simple correlation or t-test, you’re free to say what you expect to happen.
– Be sure that all formatting (numbers, statistical tests, figure) are in correct APA format.
