ipsilateral means of the same side and contralateral means of opposite side.
in relation to CNS any organ which is ipsilateral to cns means it is on same side of cns and anything which is contralateral to cns it means it is on opposite side of it….for ex if we have lesion of left cerebral hemishere deformity normalyy seen on r8 side so in that case r8 side is contralateral to left cerebral hemishephere
