I had sometone helping me with it but now is not doing it right and I need it soonest can cause its due tommrwo morning and Im freaking it wont be done in time now. I need help with this performance assessment thing I have my goals paper I will post to go with it. My compelling question is Why do people change their government? We have to use that to come up with one performance assessment. My teacher sent me this back in email because the performance assessment someone helped me with was wrong. So what the person had was Students should be able to pretend to be George Washington and write a detailed speech about why there should be a change in the country’s leadership, pretend to be Benedict Arnold and record a ten minutes podcast addressing the American army, pretend to be a historian and write a blog post to the New York Times stating the leaders of the American war for independence and their ideologies and to create a PowerPoint presentation explaining why they think the American war for independence was necessary. It will enable the students understand the course of the war and why the Americans wanted to change their form of governance. So my teacher sent me this but we can only pick one so when the person helped me again they used all of them.
Why do people change their government? Doesn’t seem like your proposed assessment is very closely tied. Think of a performance assessment that allows students to answer your compelling question: Have them pretend to be a historian or political scientist and give an academic presentation of their argument OR write an editorial to a newspaper OR a write an online blog post OR record a podcast OR participate in a talk show as a panel of experts. Try to move away from a regurgitation of facts and allow them to interpret what they have learned.
Also all my objectives on my goals sheet need to go with my performance assessment or if you add in on that other sheet they need added to goals sheet. I need everything in part 3 done please. Also this this for a 5th grade class I would be making this for in end.
