The mean Price of a Florida pool home in Boca Raton is
$268,300.00. The mean size of a Florida pool home in the Boca Raton area is
3038.8 square feet. The median price of the Florida pool home in the Boca Raton
area is $256,900. The median size of that Boca Raton property is 2806.5 square
feet. The standard deviation associated with the price of that Boca Raton home
is $72.77946. The standard deviation of size is 1078.569 square feet.
2.
Calculate the mode for the number of bathrooms.
This is most easily done via descriptive statistics in Excel,
which shows that the mode is 2.5.
3.
Produce a histogram that shows the number of
houses by price range, in increments of $50,000 (for example, $0–$50,000,
$50,001–$ 100,000, and so on).
Since the minimum is above 150,000 and the maximum below
350,000, the histogram only needs four bars to represent the groupings by
50,000 increments.
4.
Produce a scatter plot showing the relationship
between price and home size.
As an imaginary line drawn through the average of all the
points would move from left to right and up, there is a relatively strong
positive relationship.
