I need a report letter.
What happened is,
A classmate helped more than 30 people in the class cheat in a college computer task. Finally, the professor found out and gave everyone a grade of D.
I hope to use the identity of the student’s high school teacher to send a report letter to the admissions office of this school, so that the student’s admission score can be investigated again, and the student’s credit will eventually be questioned.
The general idea is:
(High school is Y, this classmate is X)
X is a high school student who studies in Y. I worked/studied in the same high school with him in 2020. X is extremely bad with AP Computer Science but always gets good grades. In a regular test, Y noticed that many codes that the students used were exactly the same. Y conducted an investigation on every member in X’s class and found out that all the students participated in a large-scale academic dishonorable behavior: X and his classmates used codes copied from GitHub to complete the test and get good grades. Y decided to give every single student in the class a 60% grade as a punishment, which is why X had a low AP Computer Science grade in his junior year. I am not involved in the activity since I am not a student in the class, but it seems like Y did not notify Colgate about such an event. I strongly doubt whether X’s notorious academic integrity really fits Colgate, and I strongly advise the office of admission to communicate with Y for this unreported affair. I am doing this for X’s own good, and I hope for him a bright future.
I need to use the tone of a white American to write this report letter, and I must achieve my goal.
And highlight that the student’s credit is very problematic and violates the academic code.
Thank you.
