Assignment 1: Using the Huntsville, Alabama, precipitation data that I provided you on BB, calculate the rainfall intensity for the design storm of 2-year 6-hour storm. (25 pts) Assignment 2: Locate the hourly rainfall amounts for this 2-year 6-hour storm, i.e. you need to find the 6 values for this storm from the original hourly rainfall data that I provided you. Record these values in your spreadsheet as well as in your report. Remember to convert the units to inches by dividing by 100. (25 pts) Assignment 3: Develop IDF curve for the basin. Use 2, 4, 5, 6, 12, and 24 hour running totals. Graph IDF for 52, 26, 13, 4, and 2-year return periods. A final graph of your IDF curve (use a log-log axis). Place all of the curves on the same graph. (50 pts) Project delivery: I am expecting you to do all the calculation (step by step IDF calculation) in one excel file (each assignment on a separate sheet).
