I rarely noticed a change throughout each game. I felt as though these game’s were more of just guessing than anything. I couldn’t really get the feel for the game because I was in fact just guessing it wasn’t strategically placed as a game should be. I do feel as if the game was based on more importance than both the positive and negative reinforcements would have mattered a bit more. I still feel I struggle with differentiating a bit between the positive and negative reinforcer’s simply because both are geared to receiving the same outcome which would be to do or not to do something no matter which strategy you select. The quote “Catch people in the act of doing something right” I don’t feel as though this quote would relate to the activity much, simply because I feel the activity was more over a guessing game and one most definitely would have to be caught because the simulation we played was more of a lottery. Outside of the game this quote could be taken as we should always be looking to do the right thing so being caught in the act should be of given. Doing the correct thing should always be done, going noticed or unnoticed. Lastly things I have learned throughout this lesson is while we are given choices selecting the correct choice has a way of both determining and guiding your life and these given choice’s come with both negative and positive reinforcer’s to try and steer you on track in life.

So, to be honest I was very confused and even at some points frustrated with the games. The games are supposed to be linked to understanding the key terms in behaviors. However, I looked only at these being a game of chance without any real science behind them. The one thing I can say about the games is the fact that every time I receive points for the correct button being chosen it made me feel like I was able to choose the next one correctly and be rewarded as well (positive reinforcer). Although when I chose the wrong symbol, the annoyance began to set in (negative reinforcement) and I just figured that eventually I could get the right one next time.
Interestingly enough the last game with the flashing symbols was the one that I thought taught me the most when it came to learning about the terms. The main idea was to stop the flashing symbols by choosing the correct one. When the chosen one was picked it was stopped from moving on the line. This was to me the process for a positive punishment. The punishment would still be the flashing symbol but the positive would be the fact that at least one of their symbols stopped flashing. The extinction was still a little confusing for me. Regardless of the behavior that was made I would keep going when I did the exercise again. I would even chose all the different flashing symbols in the last part because I wanted them to stop. I can see how this would be in my life to when it came to eating patterns. I am doing diet after diet and yet I have positive/negative reinforcers with my eating during emotional behavior.
