1-Duccio is most famous for his artwork devoting the Virgin Mary. In these paintings, we can see the amazing techniques he used by incorporating an illusion of space In his paintings. It was important for his artwork to incorporate the Virgin Mary and in a way give tribute to her. In all the paintings though, he used an illusion of space which gave the paintings such a creative touch. The “openings” of doors, the arches, all gave a 3D look to the two-dimensional art. Yes there is a price to be paid for realism, sometimes when things are redundant display similar patterns, interest can be lost in the process hence the comparison between Duccio and Jean Pucelle’s art styles and work.

2-The founder of the Sienesian Painting School and one of the most prominent Italian medieval artists as Duccio, also known as the Duccio di Buoninsegna. The formality and the new spirituality of the gothic style are blended in the Duccio painting and are enhanced by a deeper awareness of the progression in the style from traditional bases. The Maestà, the altarpiece of the Cathedral of Siena, is his most famous masterpiece Duccio is generally seen as Sienese painting’s original father. His picture has a beautiful color in European art. He was also a competent narrator. Pietro and Ambrogio Lorenzetti were the creators of the Maesta. Simone Martin made lyrical veins for Duccio’s work. The three changed a spectator’s visual or bodily perception of things. While working on a monumental space, they could travel deeply. He is distinguished from other artists of his day by Duccio’s proficiency in detail, a tough challenge in the use of tempera painting. Duccio’s work was not a loss toward anything it only opened up horizons toward Byzantine art as well as religous artworks.
