Question 1. Overarching question for essays: How are individual civil rights and privacy rights best balanced against victims’ rights and homeland/national security?
Question 2. High-Tech Policing:
Is predictive policing an appropriate law enforcement tool?
Is predictive policing just a nice name for profiling, including racial profiling?
Should all police encounters be documented on police body cameras?
Should some police encounters be documented on body cameras? Which type? How?
Should police be able to monitor social media and social media accounts?
Is profiling an appropriate police tactic?
Must be written in Times new roman, double spaced, 10-font size! Must use at lease 6 outside resources beyond the text Cover page and Reference page does not include 4 pages. Also, provide two questions that can be used as discussion starters for the in-class “debate” on these two questions. These two questions do not count in the four page limit and should be listed on a separate page.
