How and why microbes have an effect on their greater environment

I choose the biotechnolgy CRISPER CAS 9 and the microbe is chose was Streptococcus thermophilus KLDS SM so do not choose the same on i chose.

  1. Identify a different microbe in the same environment as your biotechnology microbe.
    1. Using google scholar or other sources to research your new microbe.
  2. Using this microbe, design a new, completely theoretical biotechnology that addresses an existing biological issue. Money is no object, go wild!
  3. The ideal proposal will include: ( how this microbe can be used to solve a problem )
    1. A background on the problem you are addressing.
    2. The microbe you are using to address the problem.
    3. An in-depth description of the pathway, protein, or other biological feature that allows the microbe to address the problem.
    4. Potential pitfalls of this approach.
    5. A snazzy title and slogan for your new biotechnology.
    6. (Extra credit if under 10 points, not necessary) A picture of your new process/product, parts and microbes neatly labelled.
    7. (Not extra, very necessary) Primary and secondary sources where you gained information about your microbe.
