This week, we’ll look closely at the details of the NSPE Code of Ethics (Links to an external site.), and how a professional organization interprets this code in light of concrete cases.
This is not a normal free-writing assignment! Special lesson assignment:
- Select some case in the archives of the NSPE Board of Ethical Review (Links to an external site.)
- MUST be from 1980-present
- MUST include the link to your case (and it must be clickable!)
- Write a post describing your case with some analysis
Lesson requirements:
- Explain the relevant details of the case in your own words
- Explain the Board’s interpretation of the Code of Ethics relevant to your case
- Explain the Board’s final evaluation of the case. Do you agree or disagree with their conclusion?
- Do you expect to encounter a case like this in your own career?
