1. Write a (2 page minimum) five paragraph essay comparing the effect of WWI and the current Iraq war on the “home front.” Your essay should include specific numbers, activities, etc. from World War I documents. For example, how many bandages etc. were prepared? How does this compare to today’s involvement by non combatants? Does the war today effect you? How, what are people doing? Speculate, for example, does average citizen involvement have an impact on the people’s perceptions and support for war half way around the world? (Also submit your list of things people did during WWI with your essay)
2. Write a one page, double-spaced paper regarding the importance and impact of alliances upon World War I.
3. Construct a chart or other graphic organizer (table) showing how WW I impacted the following: “younger generation”,”new” woman, popular culture, urban/rural America, American writers, African-Americans, and the American consumer
