I need essay about following questions.

Please answer all of the following questions. and read the instructions carefully.

Please include 2-3 very specific examples for each question, based on the case studies and readings you have completed this term.

  1. How are Romanticism and Nationalism linked? In other words, why do they so often occur together? What are the consequences of these two “isms”?

  2. Compare the role of women in and after WWI in both the western democracies AND the USSR.  What changed for women in both regions?

  3. Compare the similarities and differences between Fascism, Communism, and Socialism, either politically or economically.

  4. Compare the causes and consequences of both WWI and WWII.

  5. How is genocide an extreme example of Nationalism? Use the Holocaust and the Armenian genocides as the basis of your response.

  6. How has Capitalism shaped modern European history (1750-2015)?

A word about the Primary Source Case Studies: For each response, answer the question posed (see weekly schedule) by incorporating quotes from the primary source readings.  The best you can earn is a 50% on an essay if you do cite these primary sources.  Using primary sources is a valuable way to enhance your understanding of history.  Reading first-hand accounts by the people who lived the history we are studying completes the image, giving you insight impossible to gain otherwise.  See info below (Week 2) for a checklist on what you should be including in your case study responses.

Also, keep in mind this checklist for your primary source case studies.

  • Use at least 3 direct quotes

  • Use historical vocabulary

  • Use info from other sources, but do not forget to use direct quotes from the primary sources

  • Spelling, punctuation, and word choice DO matter. Avoid being vague or superficial.

  • Use the correct names for historical figures.  Some go by one name only; Napoleon, for example. Monarchs are referred to by their “state” name; for example, Queen Victoria, King George III, etc.  Ordinary people are referred to by their first and last name in the first reference; after this initial reference, refer to historical figures by their last name, not their first name.
